Shaun Donovan, former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Director of the Office of Management and Budget under the Obama Administration, is all too familiar with leading during unprecedented crisis.

Throughout his time in government, Donovan had to tackle his fair share of challenges, from the Great Recession and housing crash, to Hurricane Sandy and mounting veteran homelessness.

In discussion with Professor Sebastien Betermier, a McGill University professor of finance, Donovan offers a candid account of how he helped steer the U.S. out of some of the most significant crises in its history.
