Join us for this very special event brought you you by McGill Japan, the McGill Alumni Association in Japan, and the Delegation Generale of Quebec in Tokyo, on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017.
Energy in Québec: A Source of Growth. Discussion about the 2030 Quebec Energy Policy and Cocktail with Quebec Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and minister responsible for Plan Nord Mr. Pierre Arcand and McGill Japan.
This will be a discussion event on Quebec’s initiative to become one of the world’s leaders in automobile electrification, and a world leader in the use of renewable resources for future economic development.
The event takes place at the beautiful Oscar Peterson Theatre at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo.

Special event by McGill Japan, the McGill Alumni Association in Japan, and the Delegation Generale of Quebec in Tokyo was held on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017.
We welcomed Mr. Pierre Arcand, Quebec Minister of Energy and Natural Resources as our speaker at Canadian Embassy in Tokyo. Mr. Arcand is a minister responsible for Plan Nord
, a plan to promote the potential for mining, energy, tourism, and social and cultural development in Québec north of the 49th degree of latitude. This is part of an initiative for Quebec to become one of the world’s leaders in automobile electrification, and a world leader in the use of renewable resources for future economic development.
Mr. Arcand shared information regarding the project and initiative, followed by a panel discussion regarding the 2030 Quebec Energy Policy and Transport Electrification.
