MCGILL JAPAN FORUM AND SHINNENKAI:
The McGill Alumni Association in Japan–MAAJ–and McGill MBA Japan program
invite you to the McGill Japan Forum and Shinnenkai on Thursday, January 14th,
2016 from 7PM at the Tokyo American Club.
MCGILL MBA JAPAN STUDENT AND ALUMNI SUCCESS STORIES:
The Desautels Faculty of Management’s McGill MBA Japan program attracts
students from Japan and around the world who go on to make positive
contributions in business and society. In this edition, we feature an MBA
Japan student from the UK, and an alumni, originally from Canada who have
found success in Japan.
SAM BIRD, MBA 2016 Candidate is working for an innovative media and
advertising company-Custom Media-in Tokyo. Custom Media was recently awarded
the Japan-British Award for promoting bilateral business, culture and charity.

PAUL SPEED, MBA 2014, is a growing success in the craft beer industry in
Japan. Paul, along with his other business partners, started the Kyoto
Brewing Company, which makes fine craft beer in the ancient capital of Kyoto.
The company is off to a very strong start, and their beer can be purchased in
fine establishments throughout Kyoto and at a growing number of pubs and
restaurants in Eastern and Western Japan.
