Japan MBA Case Competition–JMBACC
The third annual Japan MBA Case Competition-JMBACC–Semi-final and Final Rounds take place this Saturday, November 15th, 2015 at Waseda University in Tokyo. JMBACC has become a major international English-language case competition that brings together MBA teams from business schools from across Japan and around the world. The public can attend the Finals on Sunday.
Overseas teams include:
Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University,
Henry W. Bloch School of Management, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
Japan-based teams include:
Chuo Graduate School of Strategic Management, Chuo University,
Desautels Faculty of Management—McGill MBA Japan–McGill University,
Doshisha Business School, Doshisha University,
Globis University Graduate School of Management,
Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University and Waseda Business School, Waseda University
The McGill MBA Japan team won in 2013 and 2014, and we look forward to an excellent competition this year: GO McGILL !!!!

McGill Alumni Association in Japan—MAAJ: McGill Japan Forum and Shinnenkai is scheduled for Thursday, January 16th, 2016 in Tokyo.

Henry Mintzberg awarded Thinkers50 Lifetime Achievement Award.
LONDON – Thinkers50, the premier ranking of global business thinkers, today announced that Henry Mintzberg is to be the recipient of its 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award – previously won by Charles Handy and Ikujiro Nonaka.
“The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to someone who has had a long-term impact on the way people think about and practice management,” explains Thinkers50 co-founder Des Dearlove. “Henry Mintzberg has done that and much more. He has been an intellectual trailblazer from his very first book – The Nature of Managerial Work – to his work on strategy and his pioneering executive education programs.”
